Due to the collective incompetence of R+E Cycles (Seattle), Mike's Bikes (Berkeley) and UPS, i found myself without a bike mere days before flying to Istanbul for 5 weeks of cycle touring. Fortunately, the good people at Recycled Cycles were able to build me a fine bicycle out of used parts pretty much overnight. Our honeymoon was trying (the roads in Turkey and Bulgaria being rather rough) but by the end of that trip we'd developed a lasting relationship. Dreadnought was a strong aluminum ride, but after three fine tours the bike was passed on to Eric Hilton in the summer of 2008. |
