Recent Results From BaBar
Recent results on searches of new physics using data
recorded by the BaBar detector at the SLAC PEPII asymmetric-energy e+e-
storage ring at a center-of-mass energy near 10.58 GeV are presented.
These results include observation of a new particle Y (4260)
with hidden charm content and probable quantum numbers JPC = 1-
-decaying into p+ p- J/y final state in
events where large energy is carried away by initial state photon
radiation. Searches for other decay
modes, which might relate to production and decay of Y (4260) are
discussed. Also are presented results
from observation of the recently discovered X (3872) with unknown quantum
numbers in B ® X K
decays, and measurement of branching fraction of this new state into final
state containing J/y. Also are presented recent updates on
measurements of CP asymmetry from b-s penguin decays and world's best limits on
lepton flavor violation in tau decays.
Non-trivial tests of SUSY combining the observed CP asymmetry in decays and improved upper limit on Branching Ratio of t®mg, are also discussed.
