Gravity and Quantum Mechanics Seen Through a Holographic Lens

Leonard Susskind

Stanford Institute for Theoretical Physics

It seems that gravity and quantum mechanics are so deeply connected that they are inseparable. I will explain some examples of how very basic gravitational phenomena such as gravitational attraction are manifestations of generic quantum behavior. I've called this quantum-gravity duality GR=QM. The key to GR=QM is the holographic principle.
